Dobrila Ivković (70)

Professor Damjanov saved my life. I was in great pain and had difficulty moving. During an ultrasound examination, the professor saw that the cup of my hip had ruptured and that there was an unusual mass next to it. My hip was operated on, and the benign tumour was removed.
However, about ten days after the operation, my general health worsened. I had no energy at all, and my legs were swollen — the swelling would not go down. None of the specialists could identify the cause.
Then I was examined by Professor Damjanov, who made the correct diagnosis, admitted me to hospital, and immediately started treatment. Had my pseudomembranous colitis remained undiagnosed, I would likely have died within a day or two.
I am eternally grateful to him.
