Prof. Predrag D. Stevanović, MD, PhD

We are proud to have Prof. Predrag D. Stevanović, MD, PhD  – an anaesthesiologist, a subspecialist in pain medicine and a full professor and the Head of the Department of  Anaesthesiology, Reanimatology and Intensive Care of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, as the member of the team of Da Medika Polyclinic.

Professor Stevanović is the founder of the Society of Anaesthesiologists of Serbia and the European Society of Anaesthesiology.

He specialised at King’s College Hospital in London, faculties of medicine in Florence and Lyons, and he received special education in the area of pain medicine at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. He is the author and co-author of over 120 scientific papers published in prime medical journals.

At Da Medika Polyclinic, he is engaged in the treatment of pain of various causes (rheumatic pain, neuropathy and polyneuropathy, pain in oncology patients, migraines etc.). Examinations and interventions applied in the treatment of pain are as follows:

• Punctures and drug administration with the use of ultrasound
• Ultrasound-guided diagnostic or therapeutic blockade of one peripheral nerve, knee or shoulder
• Ultrasound-guided suprascapular block in the treatment of the pain in the region of the shoulder
• Ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation of the knee  (standard, unilateral and bilateral)
• Ultrasound-guided “Coolief“ ablation of the knee and shoulder joint (unilateral and bilateral)
• Administration of corticosteroids into the epidural space
• Application of pumps with chronic malignancy-related pain.
